The first performance in Great Britain of Krapp's Last Tape was
given at the Royal Court Theatre, Sloane Square, London, on
28th October 1958. It was directed by Donald McWhinnie; and
Krapp was played by Patrick Magee.
Embers, a new play specially written for broadcasting, was first
performed in the Third Programme on 24th June 1959. The cast
was as follows:
