[2738] Vladimir's which he hands to Vladimir.
[2739] VLADIMIR takes his hat. [2740] ESTRAGON adjusts
Lucky's hat on his head. [2741] VLADIMIR puts on
his hat in place of Estragon's which he
hands to Estragon. [2742] ESTRAGON takes his hat.
[2743] VLADIMIR adjusts his hat on his head.

Segment 2

[2744] ESTRAGON puts on his hat in place of Lucky's
which he hands to Vladimir. [2745] VLADIMIR takes
Lucky's hat. [2746] ESTRAGON adjusts his hat on
his head. [2747] VLADIMIR puts on Lucky's hat in
place of his own which he hands to Estragon.

Segment 3

[2748] ESTRAGON takes Vladimir's hat. [2749] VLADIMIR
adjusts Lucky's hat on his head. [2750] ESTRAGON
hands Vladimir's hat back to Vladimir who
takes it and hands it back to Estragon who
takes it and hands it back to Vladimir who
takes it and throws it down)

VLADIMIR

[2752] Does it fit me?

ESTRAGON

[2753] How do WOULD I know?

VLADIMIR

[2754] No, but how do I look in it? [2755] (he turns his head
coquettishly to and fro, minces like a mannequin)

ESTRAGON

[2756] Hideous.

VLADIMIR

[2757] But not more so than usual?

ESTRAGON

[2758] Neither more nor less.

VLADIMIR

[2759] Then I can keep it. [2760] Mine irked me. [2761] (pause) [2762] How
shall I say? [2763] (pause) [2764] It itched me. [2764|001] (he takes off
Lucky's hat, peers into it, shakes it, knocks
on the crown, puts it on again)

ESTRAGON

[2765] I'm going.

[2765|001] (Silence)

VLADIMIR

[2766] Will you not play?

ESTRAGON

[2767] Play at what?

VLADIMIR

[2768] We could play at Pozzo and Lucky.

Segment 7

ESTRAGON

[2769] Don't know NEVER heard of it.

VLADIMIR

[2770] I'll do Lucky, you do Pozzo.

[2771] (He imitates the attitude of Lucky sagging
under the weight of his baggage. [2772] ESTRAGON
looks at him with stupefaction)
