Vladimir

[2665] Wait. [2666] (He goes over and sits down beside Estragon
and begins to sing in a loud voice.)

Estragon

[2668] (looking up angrily). [2669] Not so loud!

Vladimir
[2670] (softly). [2671] Bye bye bye bye

Segment 3

[2672] Estragon sleeps. [2673] Vladimir gets up softly, takes off
his coat and lays it across Estragon's shoulders,
then starts walking up and down, swinging his arms
to keep himself warm. [2674] Estragon wakes with a start,
jumps up, casts about wildly. [2675] Vladimir runs to him,
puts his arms round him. [2676] There...there...Didi is
there...don't be afraid...

Estragon

[2677] Ah!

Vladimir

[2678] There...there...it's all over.

Estragon

[2679] I was falling -

Vladimir

[2680] It's all over, [2681] it's all over.

Estragon

[2682] I was on top of a -

Vladimir

[2683] Don't tell me! [2684] Come, we'll walk it off.

[2685] He takes Estragon by the arm and walks him up and
coan until Estragon refuses to go any further.

Estragon

[2686] That's enough. [2687] I'm tired.

Vladimir

[2688] You'd rather be stuck there doing nothing?

Estragon

Vladimir

[2690] Please yourself.

[2691] He releases Estragon, picks up his coat and puts it on.

Estragon

[2692] Let's go.

Vladimir

[2693] We can't.
