one day we were born, one day we shall die, the same
day, the same second, is that not enough for you?

light gleams an instant, then it's night once more.

[3602] Exeunt Pozzo and Lucky. [3603] Vladimir follows them to the
edge of the stage, looks after them. [3604] The noise of
falling, reinforced by mimic of Vladimir, announces
that they are down again. [3605] Silence. [3606] Vladimir goes
towards Estragon, contemplates him a moment, then
shakes him awake.

Estragon

[3607] (wild gestures, incoherent words. [3608] Finally.)
[3609] Why will you never let me sleep?

Vladimir

[3610] I felt lonely.

Estragon

[3611] I was dreaming I was happy.

Vladimir
