[2698] Can you not stay still?

VLADIMIR

[2699] I'm cold.

ESTRAGON

[2700] We came too early.

VLADIMIR

[2701] It's always at nightfall.

ESTRAGON

[2702] But night doesn't fall.

VLADIMIR

[2703] It'll fall all of a sudden, like yesterday.

ESTRAGON

[2704] Then it'll be night.

VLADIMIR

[2705] And we can go. xxx

ESTRAGON

[2706] Then it'll be day again. [2707] (pause. [2707|001] Despairing)

[2709] (Halting, violently) [2710] Will you stop whining!
[2711] I've had about my bellyful of your lamentations!

ESTRAGON

[2713] (Seeing Lucky's hat) X up over him [2714] Well!

ESTRAGON

[2715] Goodbye.

VLADIMIR

[2716] Lucky's hat. [2717] (he goes towards it) [2718] I've been here
an hour and never saw it. [2719] (very pleased) [2720] Fine!
X to his R on ramp

ESTRAGON

[2721] You'll never see me again.

VLADIMIR

[2722] I knew it was the right place. [2723] Now our troubles
are over. [2724] (he picks up the hat, contemplates it,
straightens it) [2725] Must have been a very handsome
hat. [2726] (he puts it on in place of his own which he
hands to Estragon) [2727] Here.

ESTRAGON

[2728] What?

VLADIMIR

[2729] Hold that.

[2730] (ESTRAGON takes Vladimir's hat. [2731] VLADIMIR
adjusts Lucky's hat on his head. [2732] ESTRAGON
puts on Vladimir's hat in place of his own
which he hands to Vladimir. [2733] VLADIMIR takes
Estragon's hat. [2734] ESTRAGON adjusts Vladimir's
hat on his head. [2735] VLADIMIR puts on Estragon's
hat in place of Lucky's which he hands to
Estragon. [2736] ESTRAGON takes Lucky's hat.
[2737] VLADIMIR adjusts Estragon's hat on his head.
[2738] ESTRAGON puts on Lucky's hat in place of
